The original headquarters of The St. Henry Bank still remains on E. Main Street although you may not recognize it. In the years to come, The St. Henry Bank would purchase today’s bank headquarters to expand the ever growing business.

William Romer, son of J.H. Romer took over as President of The St. Henry Bank until his passing in 1941. William’s sister, Elizabeth Romer, proudly took the reigns and led the bank during the country’s Great Depression and World War II. |
An announcement published in The Coldwater Chronicle on May 9, 1924 invites St. Henry residents to visit the new banking home. The interior arrangement was dictated by the needs of the community, such as, double purpose rooms or modern security protections.

Leo’s enlightenment from his father William and aunt Elizabeth enabled him to guide the bank through the Great Depression without any loss to its depositors or stakeholders.

The women of The St. Henry Bank used the technology advancements to process transactions using the state of the art banking equipment offered in 1973.
